The tool
CRX Extractor unpacks Chrome extension packages in your browser. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. The extractor itself is distributed under the GNU GPL v3; its source is on GitHub.
Files you unpack are processed locally in your browser and are not transmitted to this site.
Copyright in the extensions
An extension's source code belongs to whoever wrote it. Unpacking a package to read, study, audit or debug it is one thing; redistributing it, or reusing its code in your own work, is another, and whether you may do so is governed by that extension's own licence and by the law where you live. Nothing on this site grants you any right to the code you download.
Extension names, icons and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
The catalog
Catalog pages describe what an extension declares in its manifest and what its public store listing reports. They are generated automatically and may be incomplete or out of date; an extension can change with any release.
The pages state capabilities, not conclusions. Nothing here is an assertion that any extension is unsafe, malicious or badly made, and nothing here should be read as security advice about a specific product. If you need that, audit the code — which is precisely what the tool is for.
Mirrored packages
Some packages are served from this domain as files, because Chrome will not download them from a cross-origin link. They are unmodified copies of what the Chrome Web Store distributes publicly.
If you hold rights in an extension and want its copy removed, email crxextractor@gmail.com with the extension id and it will be taken down.

Advertising and third parties
The site carries Google AdSense. Google and its partners set their own cookies and process data under their own policies, which you can read on Google's site.
